Jose John Santos III
Born February 19, 1970, Manila Philippines
Fine Arts Graduate major in Painting, University of the Philippines
The Manila-based artist is a Cultural Center of the Philippines 13 Artist Awardee. His works traverse the realms of the personal and the mythical. The artist taps both his existential situation as an individual and the rich storehouse of myth and spirituality to create works of compelling presence. Indeed, it is the story behind each painting that captures so many people's attention and it is hard to walk away from a Santos painting without a sense of realization and beautiful imagery. His works are loved by many collectors.
